B12 - Time Tourist

Label: Warp
Year: 1996
Styles: Ambient Techno, Techno, IDM

I'll begin this blog with the lesser known of B12's two releases on Warp records. While not as memorable as the groups debut, "Electro-Soma", Time Tourist is still worth a listen.

Review: (Allmusic.com)

A slick, arresting slate of ambient-leaning electro-techno with a strong Detroit feel. Again split between the group's many ongoing projects, the tracks vary from four-on-the-floor club movers to after-hours chill-bound breakbeat tracks and funky, almost jazz-oriented electro.
- Sean Cooper (Allmusic Guide)

I've added your blog to the Digital Meltd0wn Music Blogroll @ http://music-bloggers.blogspot.com

It's not required in order to be listed, but if you could provide a link back to the blogroll in any way I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the music, and keep up the great work.

Man I think there's something wrong with your 'blog archive' as it shows up in your front page, it's stuck in March and actually I thought you had quit until I rolled down a bit... Keep going.

Eeeh, ahhh, OK then. Time is Time.
Keep going.

You have a great music blog here! I've added you to my custom search, check it out.

I've collected over 5,000 mp3blog links, accessible from the alpha menu at page top. You can open frames on these blogs to view them directly on my site, and you can also view the feeds in a frame.

You can search all these blogs in my custom google search:

Great blog man! IDM and ambient techno are favorite music.

However, there's something I wanted to tell you...

I keep getting 'The file is corrupt' error message when extracting your archives. Is it just me, or there's something wrong with them.

best regards, and keep on the good work

I've never understood why Electro-Soma is heralded as their mighty release, if you have a hunt through their discography they did plenty of good music both before & after Warp.

Either way, this is a kickass album and thankyou for a blog that syncs just about 100% with my own musical taste.

Why is it that every time I discover a music blog, it either dies or shuts down or slows down to a creeping halt within a week of my first visit ????

Hello,

I recently came upon your website and I must say that you have done a great job and noticed we have similar topics like mp3 download. I would like to know if I can add a link to your website on the resource page of our website mp3keren.com. I am sure that my visitors might get something out of your work.

Please let me know if this is OK. Then send me the title and URL you want me to use for your link. And also do you think my website is worthy to be listed on yours? I can send you the details on my next reply. I look forward to your reply. Take care.

Thanks,

Egi

It is alright with me if anybody wishes to post a link to this blog on their web page. I may not post your link in my section, but that is only because I like to maintain the wavelength of this blog, and it's ambient-techno/IDM content. This means that I only promote other IDM central blogs on my page.

If I don't add your blog, it's probably because it doesn't lend itself to the thematic direction of my blog. I usually take a look at any blogs mentioned in the comments section, and some of them are very worthwhile, despite not fitting the criteria for an add to my links section.

The blog has now been dormant since October. I'm glad to see that people are still enjoying the content here. I've been asked very often whether or not the blog is dead. It is not dead, for those wondering. It's in hibernation for a little while, but it will be back in the near future.

I have plans to start up another blog specializing in Shoegaze. When I do, I may add links to blogs which didn't quite fit in the Acrocosm enviroment. I believe in supporting blogs which are still obscure, and promoting the ones with valuable content.

In the meantime, enjoy what's here, and expect a new post sometime in the near future.

Hi there! I was wondering if you would consider posting an article of mine. It's about an up and coming electropop band about to enter mainstream this year. They are currently working with D.Bascombe, the producer/ mixer who has collaborated with Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Verve, Suede, etc.

The band plays jazz music but their songs are also classified under electronica. It's interesting how both jazz and electropop were merged into one by this band!

Tell me if you're interested in posting my article so that I can send it to you. Please contact me via doc_alma_jones [at] yahoo [dot] com. Thanks for your time!

Cheers,
A.J.

I concur, please let that date be the return to action of this sleeping giant. This blog is far too good to be parked up.
